Raingutter Regatta Racing

Our scouts built their own boats this year and crafted raceways using raingutters. They took their knowledge of the craft and created a demo booth of other scouts to try out at Houston's Scout Fair.

Climbing to Great Heights

Tiger scouts are always full of energy!  This one is climbing the rock wall at Sam Houston State Park.  He and his Tiger Den take a "go see it" field trip at least once a month aimed at exploring, learning and having fun.

Teamwork at its Best

The Webelo Den works together to complete an obstacle course relay.  It was part of a summer day camp program that they participated in at the Boy Scout's Camp Strake Campground.

Honoring our Patriots

Our Pack joined other Cub Scouts for an overnight adventure aboard the USS Lexington.  They learned first hand how soldiers lived and served their country as seamen aboard the great American battleship.

Cub Scouts love to Camp

Our Pack puts on a family camp out (yes - everyone's included) twice a year - in the fall and in the spring.  We pitch tents, roast s'mores, tell stories and make memories.  This year we camped at Brazos Bend State Park, home of the George R Brown Observatory, beautiful biking trails and an amazing nature center.

If you can Dream It - You can Become It

The Bear Den loved the USS Lexington trip so much that they planned a followup trip to see the Battleship Texas.  They were most impressed with navy's B52 Bommer Fly-By and the 21 Gun Salute that followed.

Pinewood Derby Award Winners

A highlight every year is Pinewood Derby Racing!  Scouts build cars from a block of wood and enter them in the competition.  Magnolia Parkway's cafeteria is transformed into a raceway and the fun begins.  Awards are given to each den for categories including:  Fastest, Most Realistic & Most Creative.  This year the sibling of cub scouts entered their cars as well.
